The director of the Borghese Gallery, Alba Costamagna, has created an illusionary project of the gallerys faade with images of the statues and decorations that adorned it until they were sold off in 1807. Son et Lumire at Villa Borghese illustrates the ancient history of the gallery, its amazing and unique collection of priceless artistic masterpieces, the famous personalities who created the collection and its stunning architecture in a state-of-the art projection of light, images and theatre. It is an outdoor event that takes place every evening. The performances on Thurs, Fri and Sat are in English at 21.00, and in Italian at 22.30.
