Organised by the prestigious Accademia Musicale Chigiana, the festival attracts a large number of world famous musicians who also lead master classes and workshops. The "Settimana" is famous for having brought to light rarely explored or unknown areas of music history and reviving neglected works. This year’s star-studded programme lists names like Michele Campanella, Fabio Biondi’s Europa Galante ensemble, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra conducted by Daniel Harding, and many more.
