29 June-30 July 2005. Jazz, pop, world music and more make up this years summer programme at the Auditorium-Parco della Musica. The 21 evenings under the stars in the open-air cavea at the centre of the auditorium complex present an impressive line-up of international stars. Keith Jarret shines especially brightly in trio with Jack DeJohnette and Gary Peacock (15 July), and so do Diana Ross (7 July), the legendary leader of the Beach Boys, Brian Wilson (22 July), Joe Jackson and Todd Rundgreen (1 July). But the programme also has space for the new generation with Sigur Ros from Iceland and the young jazz musician Francesco Cafiso. Other names to look out for are those of pianist Ludovico Einaudi, saxophonist John Zorn and a varied section of world music and ethnic musicians, including Madredeus, Cheb Kaled, Talvin Singh and Al Farka Toure.
