All Saints Anglican Church in Via del Babuino is gearing up for a new season of outreach activities, many of them aimed at the increasingly large number of families associated with its multinational community.

One of the highlights of the coming months is the Jack and the Beanstalk pantomine scheduled for early December. Recruiting for actors, musicians, directors and stage hands will take place in the next couple of weeks.

The regular Sunday school which meets during the 10.30 service is planning a number of events including a sale of fair trade produce to mark harvest festival on 2 Oct, a play about modern-day saints and the creation of a new set of crib figures for the Christmas season. On the first Sunday of each month children are especially welcome and encouraged to play an active part in the family Communion, which includes a simpler service and a presentation of work produced by the Sunday school. Drinks, snacks and a sale of assorted English goodies are always available afterwards.

For the very young, the "LadyBirds" mother and baby group continues to meet every Wednesday morning a chance for new mums (and dads) to meet, chat and share a cup of tea or coffee while toddlers let off steam, learn songs, try out some arts and crafts or simply listen to a story. They are also organising a charity jumble sale on 15 Oct. Contact the church if you have anything to contribute.

Other dates include a special ecumenical service to mark the feast of All Saints Day on 1 Nov at 18.00. Members of all other churches and religious communities are warmly welcome. The preacher will be the rector of the Venerable English College, Msgr. Nicholas Hudson.

If youre musically minded, then dont miss organ vespers at 17.00 on the first Sun of every month followed by choral evensong (starting in Nov). You could even join the choir, which meets every Sunday before the 10.30 service.

For those seeking physical or spiritual healing there are now two special services, on the first Weds of the month at noon and on the third Thurs of the month at 19.00. There is also a daily worship service times vary so its best to check the notice board outside the church or call ahead of time.
