Rome resumes flights to Libya
The first Rome-Tripoli flight in eight months landed at Mitiga military airport in the Libyan capital on 3 November, marking the resumption of services suspended over the conflict which resulted in the recent death of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.
Alitalia is the first major Western carrier to return to the war-torn north African country.
