Trenitalia has announced that it is to dedicate one high-speed train every day to Milan, and back, at the special price of 9 each way. The new service is not a temporary offer and will be included in the trenitalia timetable

The service, which will begin on 12 Dec, will leave Roma Tiburtina station every morning sometime between 06.00 and 07.00 (the precise time has yet to be decided) and the return train will leave Milan Rogoredo station at around 19.00. The journey takes four and a half hours with two stops, at Florence Campo di Marte and at Bologna. Tickets will be on sale from 29 Nov and can be purchased on the telephone, internet or at the automatic ticket machines at the stations, but not at the booking offices.
