Anyone flying from an Italian airport who wishes to be reassured about the reliability of the company they are flying with (particularly charter companies), may now telephone a toll free telephone number: 800 898 121, to check that the airline in question meets the safety and reliability standards required by Enac, the Italian civil aviation authority. This service has been set up following an increase in the number of aircraft being chartered from foreign airlines to carry holiday makers to their destinations.
