Tokyo Quartet

As part of its farewell world tour, the Tokyo String Quartet makes a stop in Rome to perform quartets by Bartok, Haydn and Schubert. After more than 40 years of making music around the world, only one of its founding members, violist Kazukide Isomura is still with the ensemble.

His retirement was announced recently, along with that of violinist Kikuei Ikeda, precipitating the disbandment of the acclaimed, award-winning Quartet. At 17.30. Istituzione Universitaria dei Concerti. Concert at Aula Magna, Università La Sapienza, Piazzale Aldo Moro 5. For booking and information tel. 3610051, www.concertiiuc.it.
