La Sapienza, the largest university in Rome, is celebrating the 700th anniversary of its foundation with a series of evening events. From 10-17 July there are concerts, tango dance classes, demonstrations of martial arts and lectures on astronomy, anatomy and poetry. Each weekday evening, some of the universitys collections will be open to the public, including the collection of classical art, the anthropology museum and the chemistry museum. Admission to all of these activities is free.
