Rodolfo Villaplana: 8

30 Sept-12 Nov. The MAC Maja Arte Contemporanea gallery presents an exhibition by Venezuelan artist Rodolfo Villaplana.

Inspired by the film by Italian film director Federico Fellini, the exhibition features eight recently-painted works which focus primarily on the female characters from the movie.

Portraits include the bourgeois Luisa, the sensual Carla, the serene Claudia, and the prostitute Saraghina.

The exhibition is part of the "Fuori Quadriennale" series of external events attached to the 16th edition of the Quadriennale d’Arte di Roma.

Based between the UK and Tuscany, Villaplana paints mainly the human figure, focusing on the inner character of his subjects.
