Ramin Bahrami

Concert by the S. Cecilia Orchestra conducted by Andrea Battistoni, with pianist Ramin Bahrami. Music by Bach and Mussorgsky. The Iranian pianist Ramin Bahrami credits Bach with having saved his life during dark days of dictatorship in his home country during which his father was imprisoned and killed.

Today Bahrami is considered one of the most interesting interpreters of Bach’s music. For this concert he teams up with young conductor Andrea Battistoni, who is widely considered one of the most exciting musicians of his generation, for a programme featuring Bach’s Orchestral Suite and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at a Exhibition.
