28 Dec-1 January 2012. Five days of top quality music make up this annual appointment for jazz lovers who flock to the beautiful ancient town, which is also home to art and fine cooking and wine. The formula for this winter festival was established in its very first year, and it has since been consolidated and fine-tuned, with music indoors and out throughout the day and into the early hours of the morning. The two central events that characterise the festival are a New Year's Eve dinner/concert, and a gospel concert for peace in the cathedral on the afternoon of New Year's Day. The rest of the programme is to be heard at evening concerts in the Teatro Mancinelli, at jazz lunches and dinners, at the afternoon concerts in the Palazzo del Popolo, and in the morning, in the Museo Emilio Greco. This edition features the likes of Michel Camilo, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Chano Dominguez, Stan Tracy, The Harlem Jubilee Singers, Paolo Fresu Quintet, Fabrizio Bosso, Gianluca Petrella, Danilo Rea, Franco Cerri, Renato Sellani, Peppe Servillo, the Lydian Sound Orchestra, Bobby Broom, Allan Harris, Funk O and many more. The final evening foresees a tribute to Nino Rota. Food is also one of the attractions of the event with many of the concerts and recitals taking place in some of Orvieto
