Solo piano recital. A rare occasion to hear this great pianist known for his astonishing performances. Grigory Sokolov, a true perfectionist, stopped recording albums back in 1995. He gives about 60 solo recitals a year, no chamber or orchestral music. He was born in Leningrad and won the Tchaikovsky Competition in 1966 at 16.
