23 June-30 Nov 2009. This exhibition introduces La Ruta de la Paz, a project conceived by the Costa Rican sculptor Jimenez Deredia for sculptural complexes in nine countries in the Americas. Palazzo delle Esposizioni hosts the architectural projects, small sculptures and monumental sculptures in bronze of his Genesis group, core elements of the nine installations of La Ruta de la Paz. Other monumental sculptures have been placed along the Via Sacra in the Roman Forum and in other public spaces and squares across the city. Deredia says that Rome is the perfect location for presenting the project.
