23 June-30 Nov 2009. This event is held in public spaces and squares across the city: Piazza Barberini, Piazza S. Lorenzo in Lucina, around the Colosseum, in Palazzo Massimo and in Palazzo Altemps. It introduces La Ruta de la Paz, a project conceived by the Costa Rican sculptor Jimenez Deredia for nine sculptural complexes in nine countries of the American continent. The Palazzo delle Esposizioni hosts the architectural projects, small sculptures and monumental sculptures in bronze of his Genesis group, core element of the nine installations of La Ruta de la Paz. 17 of his other monumental sculptures will be placed in the Roman Forum, along the Via Sacra. Deredia says that Rome represents the perfect location for presenting the project.
