Ladies Italian golf winners.
Danish professional player and number one in Europe Iben Tinning furthered her cause by winning the BMW Ladies Italian Open at Romes Sheraton Golf Parco de Medici. Second and third respectively were two Italian players, Veronica Zorzi and Sophie Sandolo. Zorzi scored a superb eagle (two under par) at the par five final hole for an attempt at victory but Tinning secured the title with a narrow one stroke lead. Professor Franco Chimenti officiated at the prize-giving ceremony.
