International Chamber Ensemble. Concert by the chorus, soloists and orchestra of the University of Southern California conducted by Larry Wyatt. Rome is one of the four Italian cities chosen for the European premiere of The Martyrdom of St Polycarp by the American composer J.A.C. Redford. It is an oratorio based on accounts of the dramatic events surrounding the arrest and death of St Polycarp, Bishop of Smyrna in the 2nd century (20.30).
