19 May-10 Sept. The exhibition gathers some 60 masterpieces, some of which have never been shown in Italy before. The aim of the exhibition is to document Raphaels painting between 1505 and 1508, the years prior to his move to Rome. The works on show include The Holy Family with a Lamb, the Fornarina, the Esterhazy Madonna, the Lady with the Unicorn and The Knights Dream. There is also a section showing the preparatory drawings as well as 10 masterpieces by other artists who were contemporary to Raphael from the Borghese Gallerys collections.
