Luigi Montanarini drawings
The ministry for fine arts and cultural heritage is commemorating the centenary of artist Luigi Montanarinis birth (1906-1998) by exhibiting his lifetime work from 9-16 September , 10.30-18.30.
The drawings, spanning from 1925-1995 range from abstract to copies of statues and nudes using a range of styles and techniques.
Montanarini studed at the Accademie delle Belle Arti and studied anatomy under professor Giulio Chiarugi. His style is characterized by drawing directly on canvas with pencil or paintbrush.
