2-14 March 2010. From the novel The Young Ladies of Wilko by Polish writer Jaroslaw Iwaszkiewicz, adapted by Alvis Hermanis. Hermanis says that the story, which sees Wiktor Ruben return to the country home where he lived as a tutor to a family of six sisters 15 years previously, is a source of inspiration for him for more reasons than one. Firstly, there is the situation itself: a man and six women, a circumstance which is in itself rather unusual. Then it was impossible not to be reminded of Federico Fellini
