16-30 July 2006. The 22nd edition of this dance festival presents seven companies plus a collateral event with a group called Bric a Brac. The interesting company crystal d inaugurates the festival with Ismael Ivos recent work Illuminata, co-produced by the Biennale Danza di Venezia. For the first time in Italy, En Knap from Slovenia with a work entitled Solitarie, with choreography by Iztok Kovac on the theme of differing perceptions of reality. Not new to Italy, but still to be seen are the works by Gelabert-Azzopardi and Costanza Macras. The former in Psitt!! Psitt!!, inspired by Satie and in Caravan, a celebration of individuality, while Berlin-based Argentinian Macras presents Sure, shall we talk about it, a work commissioned by Nike for Milans Fashion Week. The only Italian guest on the programme is Corte Sconta with Kol: vento forza. Britian is represented by the Union Dance Company, and Germany by the three most famous ladies of tanztheater, Susanne Linke, Reinhild Hofmann and Malou Airaudo.
