Castel S. Angelo, otherwise known as the Mausoleum of Hadrian, hosts an exhibition dedicated to the historical significance of the building which was originally designed as a mausoleum for the Roman emperor Hadrian and his family.
The exhibition highlights the building's architecture from its foundations to the ritual spaces of imperial tombs, as well as illustrating the origins of the deification of Roman emperors by displaying a number of ancient artefacts.
