Rome schools re-open.
Schools in Rome are about to re-open. Some high schools open on Friday 10 September and by 16 September all of the 420,000 school children in Rome and Lazio will be back at work. As a result traffic throughout the city will increase after the summer respite, especially in the Parioli area, where many embassies and foreign cultural academies are located and where major road works have started in the Via Po, Via Salaria and several of the adjoining streets. The works are due to take up to seven months.
