Rome makes world record for biggest pizza party
Pizza Days festival enters record books in Rome.
Rome hosted the world's largest pizza party, as certified by the Guinness Book of World Records, on the evening of 8 September.
The world record was achieved after 1,146 people sat down together to eat slices of pizza during the fourth edition of the Pizza Days festival at the Ippodromo Capannelle.
Organisers described the record as an "historic success for Italian pizza, for Made in Italy, and for Rome."
