Memorial for Carlo Macro

A memorial will be held in Rome on 17 March for Carlo Macro, a month after the 33 year-old Roman was stabbed in the chest in Trastevere on 17 February and died on his way to hospital.

There will be a Mass at the Basilica di S. Maria in Trastevere at 18.30 followed by a fiaccolata, or candle-lit procession, to the scene of Macro's death on the Janiculum hill.

On the night of 17 February Macro was stabbed by a homeless man, allegedly because of loud music playing in Macro's car.

Full details of the memorial can be found on the event's Facebook page.
