At the time of their six-year-long love story, Anton Chekov and the actress Olga Knipper exchanged some 400 passionate love letters. These letters have revealed a sequence of events in their lives from their first encounter, to their clandestine relationship, to their marriage and finally to his death. Above all, this correspondence reveals a great passion they had in common: the theatre. The text for this drama has been extrapolated from these letters and Pasquale Scial has composed the original music.
