1 Dec 2011. The Role of Women in International Peace Building: Jewish, Christian and Muslim Perspectives

The Lay Centre at Foyer Unitas presents a colloquium featuring three prominent scholars involved in peace-building in some of the most troubled areas of the world.

Jerusalem-based peace activist and researcher Dr Sarah Bernstein has been engaged in peace-building for over a decade, specialising in interreligious dialogue between Israeli and Palestinian women.

For the last 20 years Presbyterian minister Rev. Dr Ruth Patterson from Belfast has directed an interdenominational organisation promoting peace, healing and reconciliation. Dr Aida Abadzic Hodzic from Zagreb is senior lecturer at the chair for history of art, faculty of philosophy at the University of Sarajevo.

The event marks the culmination of the Lay Centre
