Nutrire l’Impero. Storie di alimentazione da Roma e Pompei
2 July-15 Nov. How and what did the ancient Romans eat? How did they carry thousands of tons of supplies from the remotest corners of the Roman empire, and how did they preserve food throughout the year?
These and many other questions are answered with this exhibition which coincides with the food and nutrition themes of EXPO Milan 2015, and whose title translates as Feeding the Empire. Stories of power from Rome and Pompeii.
On display is a selection of rare archaeological artefacts, models, and multimedia reconstructions.
