The Nuova Consonanza association is the oldest and largest contemporary music organisation in Rome. It is currently offering its 48th annual musical marathon, entitled Ri /ModulAzione under the auspices of new director Fausto Sebastiani. Performances include a number of new works by international protagonists of contemporary music and top class music ensembles. 16 Dec foresees an event dedicated to the French composer Philippe Manoury. The festival comes to a close with a piano recital by Emanuele Arciuli, winner of the 2011 Abbiati Prize.
