Both amateur and professional runners are being encouraged to keep fit and discover new areas of Rome on Sat 8 April by participating in a six-kilometre race in the Laurentino area south of Rome. This will be followed on Sat 29 April by another race of the same distance in the Tor Bella Monaca area to the east of Rome. These runs are part of Corri per le Periferie (run for the suburbs), an initiative aimed at rejuvenating suburban areas of the city through sport.
