Bus, metro and train strike in Rome on 17 May
Strikes mean "Black Friday" for commuters in Rome.
Major disruption is expected on Italy's train services between 09.00 and 17.00 on Friday 17 May thanks to a nationwide strike by employees of Trenitalia, Italo and Trenord.
Trenitalia has guaranteed connections between Rome's central train station Termini and Fiumicino airport, on its Leonardo Express and substitute buses.
Separately, workers at Rome's public transport provider ATAC and suburban bus company Roma TPL have called a four-hour strike from 08.30-12.30.
The strike action by ATAC will affect Rome's buses, metro, trams and light-rail services.
