US election party in Rome

The American International Club of Rome (AICR) AICR has cancelled their election party, which was scheduled for tonight. Considering the devastation in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, they believe it is not appropriate for their Club to host a party at this time.

The non-partisan event sees Rome's American citizens and friends of America unite to watch the returns of the US presidential election on numerous screens at Docks & Co on Via Clisio 18. Guests are invited to wear badges and hats and shout loudly for their presidential candidate of choice.

The evening includes a buffet of American favourites such as wings, quesadillas, mini-hamburgers, chips and salsa. The early breakfast buffet, from 05.00, includes pancakes with syrup, muffins and brownies. Price includes one drink (alcoholic or non) and unlimited American coffee.

€30 members, €35 guests with advance payment by Friday 2 November. From 3 November, €45 for everyone. For payment options and more info see AICR website.
