Sergio Staino: Satira e sogni

6 May-23 Aug. MACRO presents an exhibition dedicated to Sergio Staino, the Italian satirist, film director, writer and designer.

Staino is best known as the creator of a semi-autobiographical character called Bobo, who has featured in comic strips in Italian newspapers since 1979.

Bobo is an average, middle-aged former Communist man whose day-to-day struggles have provided a glimpse into Italy's politics and institutions for over 35 years.

The retrospective, whose title translates as Satire and dreams, comprises more than 300 pieces including Staino's early cartoons, watercolours and digital works, as well as his latest creations.
