Rome’s World Music festival held annually on the shores of the little lake in the gardens of Villa Ada is one of the city’s most long-running and continuous initiatives. It offers a programme with interesting multi-ethnic names and international music. Lack of funding for culture is manifest in this year’s programme, which features very few international names. But an evening at Villa Ada is invariably a pleasant one and the festival area opens at 20.00 so that the public can enjoy food and drink from one of the multiethnic food stalls before the music kicks off.
