Described as a festival of folk and “itinerant” music, this is a new initiative that features Italian world music. At the base of it all is a project of the Orchestra Popolare Italiana directed by Antonio Sparagna that gives way to Nando Citarella and his musicians and singers of the “Tamburi del Vesuvio”. Citarella is a scholar of traditional and folk music and has dedicated his work to researching and reviving traditional music of the Campania region. The mini festival also stars a selection of significant groups from other Italian regions. Auditorium Parco della Musica, Viale P. de Coubertin, tel. 0680241281, www.auditorium.com.
