23 Feb-10 March 2007. Conducted by Bruno Bartoletti, directed by Sebastiano Lo Monaco, with Svetla Vassileva, Alberto Gazale, Susan Neves and Vittorio Vitelli.

Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni and I Pagliacci by Ruggero Leoncavallo will be staged at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa (23 Feb-10 March 2007). The two works are performed on the same evening, as often happens: perhaps because they are both short melodramas written at the beginning of the 1890s that tell of murderous crimes of passion, or because they are both uplifting expressions of Italian musical realism. Bruno Bartoletti conducts both productions and the director is Sebastiano Lo Monaco
