Antinoo: Un ritratto in due parti

15 Sept-15 Jan. This exhibition retraces the history behind the celebrated ancient sculpture depicting Antinous, the Bithynian Greek youth and lover of the Roman emperor Hadrian.
The exhibition reconstructs the original bust of Antinoo, who was deified after his death, using fragments from the permanent collections of the Art Institute of Chicago and Palazzo Altemps.
