Anfiteatro Quercia del Tasso.
8 July-11 Sept 2006. The perfect stone amphitheatre overlooking the roofs and cupolas of Rome was built over three centuries ago. It got its name from the 16th-century poet, Torquato Tasso, who liked to sit and take walks in it in search of inspiration. Since 1965 it has become a summer "must" with a characteristic programme of Greek and Roman comical theatre and a few incursions into comical 18th-century drama. Dont expect high quality theatre, but a pleasant and relaxed evening with a sure bag of laughs.
