27 Jan-28 Feb 2010. To mark the Holocaust memorial day on 27 Jan, 80 paintings and documents by Lorenza Mazzetti tell of her childhood under Fascism and the second world war. Mazzetti and her twin sister Paola were orphaned at an early age and brought up by their aunt and uncle, Cesarina and Robert Einstein, in Tuscany. In August 1944 their aunt and two cousins were brutally murdered by the Nazis, prompting their uncle to take his own life the following year.
