Traffic-free Sunday in Rome on 2 December

Sunday traffic restrictions to curb air pollution in Rome.

Rome has banned motorists from driving within the fascia verde (green belt) on Sunday 2 December from 07.30 to 12.30, and from 15.30 until 19.30.
Designed to curb air pollution, the traffic restrictions will be repeated in the first three months of 2019: on 13 January, 10 February and 24 March.
There are a number of exemptions to the ban including electric cars and vehicles with special permits for disabled drivers. For full details see city website.
