The very central Church of S. Maria dell’Anima, which gathers the German Catholic community of Rome, organises a traditional annual Christmas bazaar after the first advent mass (at 10.00).

On sale are a great variety of typical German and Austrian products, including advents calendars, candles, Christmas decorations, delicacies, presents, second hand items and books.

Those who arrive first are also able to buy a limited selection of advent crowns (booking suggested). Some food stands offer typical German sausages, sandwiches, pretzels and beer.

The proceeds are donated to a Catholic mission in Tanzania.
