21 April. The latest Open Day event at Mercato di Testaccio celebrates Rome's 2,771st birthday with a social and cultural programme for both adults and children. Beginning at 08.00 and lasting until midnight, the day-long event includes guided tours of the archaeological excavations below the market, fun workshops for kids, shopping, street food and live music throughout the evening, ending with a dj set.
