Taormina Arte.
3 July-21 Aug 2005. At the heart of the little town of Taormina, on the top of a hill overlooking the Mediterranean, is a beautiful 3rd-century BC Greek theatre. For the past 51 years it has come to life every summer with an intense programme of theatre, dance, cinema and music. Shows to look out for this year are a new production of Puccinis Madame Butterfly, the ballet Don Quixote with choreography by Andr de la Roche, a concert by the Vilnius Festival Orchestra and Diana Ross in concert.
