The Spanish Riding School is a special feature of the Viennese cultural and historical landscape. It remains one of the worlds only classical riding schools and is famous around the world for producing the best riders. Founded in 1572, it gets its name from the Spanish horses that were used in times gone by. During the performances young stallions ridden by students introduce the audience to some of their developing talents. Then experienced riders give a stunning display of their horse-riding skills and control over their steeds, showing their wide knowledge of assorted forms of classical riding. Tickets cost between 28 and 160.
