Rome's biggest social event in Irish circles to be held on St Patrick's Day.
17 March. The 27th edition of the
Celtic Ball takes place on Saturday 17 March,
St Patrick's Day, at 19.00.
This year the annual black-tie ball returns to its former location at the five-star Hotel Parco dei Principi near Villa Borghese with the promise of “great Irish food and drink, music and plenty of craic, late into the night”, according to Irish Club of Rome president Helen Harrington.
The popular social event, which attracts a mixture of Rome's Irish residents and their international friends, begins with a prosecco reception and is followed by a six-course meal accompanied by live traditional Irish music and dance.
The ticket price includes dinner, drinks and post-dinner live music that is guaranteed to keep revellers dancing until 03.00. Celtic Ball raffle proceeds will be donated to the Peter McVerry Trust, a charity based in Ireland which supports the homeless and those with housing difficulties.
Pre-paid tickets cost €95 per person. For more information and to reserve tickets email irishclubofrome@gmail.com or see
Facebook event page.
