Donne. Corpo e immagine tra simbolo e rivoluzione at Galleria d'Arte Moderna.
24 Jan-13 Oct. Rome's municipal modern art gallery highlights the evolution of the female image in art from the late 19th century up to the present day.
The works on display reveal how women have been portrayed variously as objects of admiration and mystery or as angels and temptresses, until artists caught up with a more modern age in the 1960s.
The exhibition comprises about 100 works including paintings, sculpture, photographs and video.
