Music by Wagner, Liszt and Berlioz. Conducted by Kent Nagano, with the young British pianist Benjamin Grosvernor who first made his mark when he won the BBC young musician competition in 2004 at the age of 11. He has already played with the London Philharmonic, Rai Torino, New York Philharmonic and the Tokyo symphony orchestras. He is far removed from the flamboyant Lang Lang generation of pianists and is inspired more by an older generation of soloists. The concerts is part of the Accademia S. Cecilia season.
