Roma Pride parade includes #LoveisGREAT float from British embassy to Italy.9 June. This year's Roma Pride, the capital’s annual celebration of the LGBTQ community, is centred around the Colosseum end of Via S. Giovanni in Laterano, known as Gay Street, from 2-9 June.
The highlight of the week-long series of events is the parade on 9 June, leaving Piazza della Repubblica at around 15.00, in the direction of the Colosseum. This year the British embassy to Italy will have a float in the parade, under the theme #LoveisGREAT, with music provided by DJLaù.
For full details of the parade and parallel events see Roma Pride website.
Separately, Rome's Gay Village, a popular summer-long festival, recently launched its 17th edition at the Città dell'Altra Economia in Testaccio, leaving behind its former base in EUR.
