19 May-10 Sept. The Capitoline Museums displays a beautiful fragment from Renaissance master Pintoricchio's recently-rediscovered pictorial cycle in the Vatican's Borgia apartments, next to the celebrated Baby Jesus of the Hands.
Born in Perguia in 1454, Bernardino di Betto acquired the nickname Pintoricchio ("little painter") thanks to his small stature. He died in Siena in 1513.
