Until 12 June 2005. Michael Kienzer has been a leading exponent of the Austrian contemporary art scene since the 1980s. This exhibition once again looks at the relationship between object and material, a recurring theme of his work. The artists idea of sculpture embraces space, time, texture, density and 3D linear forms. Kienzer has produced several public works that use irony as well as materials and media to help the viewing connect with the location. Such everyday activities as wrapping, tying and rolling up are frequently used for their directness and immediacy. Admission costs 9.90, 7.90 or 4 with concessions. Free on Sat. Wed to Sun from 10.00 to 18.00 (Tue until midnight).
